STATUS: Full time / Exempt
LOCATION:Chicago, IL (Hybrid: 2 days/week on-site, 3 days/week remote)

JOB SUMMARY
As a Social Media Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and executing NCSBN's social media strategy across all platforms. This position requires a creative, data-driven individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly in the ever-evolving social media landscape.
The Social Media Manager will report to the Marketing & Communications Director and work closely with the marketing team to ensure successful implementation of social media initiatives that align with our brand strategy. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of social media best practices, analytical capabilities, and a passion for creating engaging content. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our organization's social media presence while working for an organization committed to protecting the public and the trust in nursing.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $77,000 - $88,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent on a candidate's relevant experience, skills, training, certifications/licenses, qualifications and geographical location.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategy Implementation: Works with marketing leadership to develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across all platforms that align with organizational goals and brand voice.
- Content Creation and Management: Develops and maintains content calendars, creates compelling social media content, and manages posting schedules across all channels while ensuring brand consistency.
- Community Management: Monitors and helps to respond to audience interactions, fostering meaningful engagement and building community across platforms.
- Analytics and Optimization: Analyzes social media metrics, generates comprehensive performance reports, and adjusts strategies based on data insights.
- Campaign Management: Helps execute paid social media campaigns, including reporting and
performance optimization.
- Trend Analysis: Monitors social media trends, industry developments and social media outreach of peer organizations, making strategic recommendations to keep NCSBN's social presence current and effective.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Works closely with the marketing team to develop visual assets and ensures consistent brand messaging across all channels.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field
- 5+ years of professional social media management experience
- Proven track record of growing and engaging social media audiences
- Strong analytical skills with experience in social media metrics and analysis
- Proficient in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite)
- Experience with social media advertising platforms
- Working knowledge of design tools for content creation (Adobe Creative Suite)
- Excellence in written communication with strong attention to detail
- Experience with influencer partnership management
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Understanding of current social media trends and best practices
- Creative thinker with the ability to contribute innovative ideas
- Commitment to producing high-quality work
