Day to Day task include:
- Obtain business requirements to develop automated applications which meet business priorities.
- Provide programming duties for tax related applications.
- Develop and mentor staff using various technologies including J2EE, Spring, JSON, JavaScript and JDBC .
- Develop and review detailed documentation for system and program change requirement including detail specifications documents.
- Assist and provide guidance through all phases of the project management life cycle.
- Develop unit test plans based on coding changes and user specifications. Conduct unit testing and debugging of all code changes in the development environment.
- Coordinate the migration of all code changes (programs, procedures, etc.) from development environment into user test environment.
- Assist team members using distributed technologies including Java, DB2, XML and XQuery. Ensure that staff members are properly trained and mentored.
- Provide support, as needed, for defects and issue resolution.
- Ensure that defects and issues are addressed promptly based on priority.
- Facilitate and participate in meetings with ITS and DTF customers.
- Communicate both verbally and in writing, with DTF management and users, ITS management, and team members.
Requested Qualifications:
- 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including EJB, JDBC, JSP and XML.
- 84 months experience with Java programming in an IBM development environment using modern IDE's, such as Eclipse, RAD, NetBeans and IntelliJ.
- 84 months of IBM DB2 experience working with DB2 databases.
- 60 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as spring or struts and application servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere or WebLogic.
- 60 months of experience in messaging technologies such as IBM MQSeries, JMS, Kafka.
- 60 months experience with an organization which includes technical design, development, maintenance, and end user support of complex system.
Work hours and location:
- Full time role with engagement length of 30 months
- Daily work hours: 8:00am to 4:30pm including a 1/2-hour unpaid lunch
- Physical office location: WA Harriman Campus Bldg. 8, Albany, NY
- Telecommuting options: After 4 months of full-time on-site, candidate may be eligible for up to 40% (2 days per week) of remote work. Eligibility will be determined by supervisor, based on all accesses provided and candidate is able to work on their own.
