North Point Technology is looking for a TS/SCI System Architect to support a critical mission.

This program requires employees pass a CI Poly every 5 years. If you have a Full Scope Poly, working this program will keep your Full Scope ACTIVE.

As a System Architect for the SAFFIRE program, you will be at the forefront of developing and operating state-of-the-art of Geospatial Intelligence analysis software. In this role, you will support the development of the overall architectural strategic vision for the NGA SAFFIRE contract in the delivery of cutting-edge Computer Vision (CV) and Structured Observation Management (SOM) capabilities. The Senior Software Architect will have the opportunity to shape the overall technical strategic vision for the contract, optimizing performance of technical execution and identifying architectural and procedural efficiencies across the product teams. They will act as a senior technical subject matter expert for the program, interfacing directly with the customer to define and demonstrate SAFFIRE's overall cohesive approach across a variety of technologies including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML), microservices, and GIS Systems.

Responsibilities
  • Define the architectural strategy and transformation of critical NGA CV and SOM applications
  • Work in a highly Agile environment as both a mentor and technology leader
  • Champion special projects and transformation
  • Identify metrics and automate metrics collection / detection to ensure the system meets the needs of the users
  • Identify optimizations and remove roadblocks from the product teams
  • Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategies
  • Work directly with the customer in solving their most difficult problems
  • Lead the technical team to drive innovation into the software baseline

Required:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • 15+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer and leading a software development team
  • 3+ years developing RESTful services
  • Experience delivering alpha/beta quality code to the Government in time frames less than 1 month and production quality code in less than 3 months
  • Experience with microservice based, scalable architectures.
  • Experience with delivery on AWS
  • Experience with delivery of services in hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures
  • Experience as a lead software architect in environments featuring hybrid cloud/on-premises infrastructures

Preferred:
  • 2+ years integrating deep learning techniques, scalable cloud architectures, and/or imagery processing
  • 2+ years employing GPUs for near-real time processing of datasets infrastructures
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate and/or Professional
  • Understanding/Experience with Government Cloud Environments (e.g., GovCloud, C2E/C2S)
  • Experience with NGA Common Operations Release Environment (CORE)
  • Experience with Low to High development through a Cross Domain Solution
  • Experience architecting software platforms in a relevant domain including Structured Observation Management (SOM), Computer Vision (CV), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and / or NGA Workflows.

Other:
  • Any experience with supporting exploitation mission is a plus
