Responsibilities:

• The Special Programs Evaluations Assessments and Response (SPEAR) Wireless Security (WiSec) team is looking for a software development engineer (SDE) to help build its security services.
• WiSec is leveraging hardware and automation to scale its services worldwide, and it needs talented SDEs to help develop and deploy the infrastructure to support this project.
• As an SDE supporting WiSec, you will work with a team of engineers to design and create services that help run the team's cloud architecture.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years of software development experience
• Strong networking knowledge including a deep understanding of mac addresses, IP addresses, ports and their interactions is a must.
• Extensive Python experience is required.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Wi-Fi and other wireless networking protocols
• Docker experience is desired.
• Linux expertise focused on low level networking including network name spaces, /dev and /sys file systems. Understanding how docker uses name spaces including network name spaces a plus.
• Experience using Python to create basic network-based APIs
• Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudTrail
