About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Stack and Azure Arc Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, managing, and supporting our Azure Stack and Azure Arc environments. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud computing, hybrid cloud solutions, networking, virtualization, and a strong background in Microsoft technologies. Your work will enable the organization to deploy and operate Azure stack deployments efficiently and reliably across various on-premises environments.

Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Deploy and Configure Azure Stack and Azure Arc: Design, deploy, and configure Azure Stack and Azure Arc environments to meet the organization's requirements.
  • Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and troubleshooting for Azure Stack and Azure Arc environments, along with the interoperability with Kubernetes clusters on-premises ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Hybrid Cloud Management: Manage hybrid cloud infrastructure, integrating on-premises and cloud resources seamlessly.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance of Azure Stack and Azure Arc environments and optimize for cost and performance efficiency.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of Azure Stack and Azure Arc environments, implementing best practices for data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, ARM templates, and other tools to streamline deployment and management tasks.
  • Community Involvement: Engage with the open-source communities, contribute to open-source projects, and stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on backend development and preferably involving Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure Stack, and Azure Arc.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with developing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, such as Java, Python, or Go
  • Experience with testing and debugging software
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware).
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and technologies (e.g., VPN, DNS, load balancing).
  • Scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, ARM templates).
  • Understanding of security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).
