Content and Data Platform (CDP) is enabling PV to become the first-choice, entertainment destination for customers worldwide by building the capabilities that allow streamers to experience the richness of Prime Video's selection both on and off the PV app, across all content types (movies, TV, sports), and all business lines (SVOD, Channels, TVOD, AVOD) for 1P and 3P titles.

Publishing Excellence team within the CDP org is responsible for building the world's most reliable, scalable, and performant digital video publishing pipeline. We are investing in Predictive Analytics & Science, Publishing Pipeline Performance and Publishing Telemetry, Automated Issue Identification and Resolution to ensure that every title on Prime Video goes live on time and is available for PV Customers to watch and enjoy.

We are looking for creative, deeply technical and hands-on Software Engineers to take the Publishing Excellence architectures and systems we are building to the next level. We have an ambitious charter, and on this team you will be able to get your hands on lots of technologies. We use AWS technologies for most of our stack, including data storage in S3, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS etc.

Key job responsibilities

As a software development engineer, you will:

1. Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed services

2. Be involved in designing, implementing, and testing of major features in the next generation of Amazon's Digital Video Supply Chain.

3. Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles.

4. Effectively collaborate in a fast-paced environment with multiple teams in large organization (software development, QA, Project/Release Management, Build and Release, etc).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
