We seek an experienced Software Engineer Dev Infrastructure who will report to our VP of Software Engineering. You have a strong background in CI/CD, experience with language-specific toolchains, and hands-on experience with one of the AWS. You are self-motivated, excel at teamwork, and successfully navigate working in a fast-paced agile environment. You enjoy staying up to date with the latest technologies and trends in web development and contributing to improving our development process.

Location
DC or Boston Metro areas. Our maximum flexibility workplace offers mostly remote work with required once monthly in-person attendance in a central location (currently Crystal City, VA and Arlington, MA) for all-hands meetings.
Benefits
The base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 to $130,000, and may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, Federated Wireless considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Your Impact
- Build and run systems, infrastructure, and applications through automated CI/CD pipelines
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems
- Deploy, support, and monitor new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks
- Implement security checks as part of the CI/CD pipeline
- Use scale testing to measure, tune, and optimize system performance
- Participate in on-call duties
Your Experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional experience in infrastructure development and monitoring
- Experience with deploying and maintaining language-specific toolchains for developers on macOS & Linux. Languages we currently use: Java, Python, C, C++, Go, TypeScript/Browser & NodeJS
- Strong experience with AWS with a focus on infrastructure management using Terraform
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
- Demonstrated ability in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, as well as GitOps deployments
- Experience working with bare metal environments on Linux
- Understanding of the Linux Operating System
- Understanding of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, the OSI Model, Subnetting, and Load Balancing strategies
- Strong skills in Bash and at least one other scripting language such as Python or Golang; knowledge of PowerShell is a plus
- Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Packer is a plus
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMWare or Proxmox is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proactive and takes initiative to identify and address potential problems or opportunities
- Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Self-motivation, teamwork and experience working in a fast-paced agile environment are highly desired
