Job Description: Summary:
- The FAIR Communication and Language - Fundamental AI Research team is looking to bring on two skilled Software Engineers .
- The main function of a software engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work.
- An ideal candidate is someone with a bachelor's degree in computer science from an accredited institution.
- 6-12 months of prior Meta experience in both front end and back end at. Also someone who has worked with AI related tools in any capacity.
- Design, build, and maintain software components, following our software engineering processes to design, develop, document, review, test, inspect, and release code.
- Implement the frontend (in React) and backend (in PHP or Python) of new features.
- Execute and complete tasks with minimal supervision applying your judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Attend project meetings and work as part of a project team to coordinate software development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems.
- Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
- Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one's time.
