Job Requirements
Develop/create test cases based on user stories/features Hardware-Software Integration Testing at Sub-System level for legacy systems Excellent understanding of Control Systems (Preferably Rail/Auto domain) Can understand and work on Locomotive systems quickly by actively learning existing and new locomotive Sub-systems. Understand and able to read System Specification Documents, Design documents, etc. Should be able to interact with multiple stakeholders at all the levels (Design Engineers/Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, Engineering Managers, etc.) Understand testing requirement, write test cases for sub-systems in DOORS, generate results and prepare for review. Reproduce and create defects for issues discovered during system test Strong Electro-Mechanical skills and general or better knowledge of Power Electronics are very valuable Flexible open-minded thinking & strong troubleshooting skills will be called upon frequently.
Work Experience
Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Science, or related field, PLUS demonstrable knowledge of: webpage development; hardware & software maintenance and configuration; automation scripts; test strategy document creation; mitigation plans; database backup & archive log backup; Quality Center, and performance tuning in SQL. Required knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master's degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable
