Within LM Space, the Echo Program Area is looking for a highly motivated individual to join the program area as a Software Engineer. This exciting position will fill a critical need in the new and emerging area of protecting space assets.
You will be working with a custom built software framework and its baseline while integrating into new industry standard and development pipeline tools.
As part of an Agile team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks in various areas across the mission and collaborate with the development teams, contractors, customers, and subject matter experts.

This position provides the opportunity to be a part of the entire engineering life-cycle, where the candidate will be able to apply their Software Engineering background at the lowest level all the way up through full system functionality.

The Echo Program Area provides a variety of development efforts and opportunities focused on meeting customer driven and operational needs. This position requires an Active DOD Security Clearance to begin employment, at a minimum level of: Interim Top Secret

Work will be performed within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and will require candidates submit information necessary to obtain special programs access, be eligible for, and receive final adjudication, for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, and must maintain the required security throughout the course of employment.

Basic Qualifications
Recent coding experience within any of the following programming languages: C#/JAVA (either preferred), C/C++, or .NET (dotnet) core
Software design, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills
This position requires an Active DOD Security Clearance to begin employment, at a minimum level of: Interim Top Secret is required to start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

Desired skills
Full development lifecycle experience
Experience working on an Agile scrum team
Experience with automated testing
Experience with Git, JIRA, Confluence
Experience with containerized environments
Experience producing quality documentation
Domain knowledge of planning and scheduling antenna resources
Domain knowledge of control and statusing antenna resources
Security+ certification or CISSP
Experience with LM's products Horizon, Astrolabe, and/or Hades

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $84,300 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
