Role Description:

As a Software QA Engineer III at Loftware, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will focus on test automation, reviewing QA artifacts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation and Coding:

• Maintain and enhance the test automation framework.
• Develop and execute high-quality test scripts.
• Demonstrate advanced programming skills in languages such as Java and Python.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality coding standards.
• Uphold and advocate for best coding practices.

Testing and Quality Assurance:

• Conduct comprehensive testing with minimal supervision.
• Lead QA efforts for specific releases, ensuring timely and effective testing.
• Prioritize testing tasks within release cycles to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure all deliverables adhere to established quality standards.
• Provide and analyse quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Enhance testing processes and methodologies.
• Conduct thorough test analysis and verify requirements.
• Develop and execute detailed test plans.
• Understand and apply the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles.

Collaboration and Expertise:

• Serve as a subject-matter expert in QA and testing.
• Advocate to uphold the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.

Project Management:

• Meet project deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Utilize project management skills to coordinate testing activities.
• Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6-9 years of experience in software development and QA.
• Proven experience with large, complex systems and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience in API testing.
• Experience running automated tests through CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to identify user and partner interactions with the system.
• Experience implementing software metrics and analytical techniques.
• Development experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Experience with databases like SQL Server, Postgres, and Oracle.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
