As a Software QA Engineer III at Loftware, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring our software products meet the highest quality standards. You will focus on test automation, reviewing QA artifacts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Test Automation and Coding:
- Maintain and enhance the test automation framework.
- Develop and execute high-quality test scripts.
- Demonstrate advanced programming skills in languages such as Java and Python.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality coding standards.
- Uphold and advocate for best coding practices.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Conduct comprehensive testing with minimal supervision.
- Lead QA efforts for specific releases, ensuring timely and effective testing.
- Prioritize testing tasks within release cycles to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to established quality standards.
- Provide and analyse quality metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Enhance testing processes and methodologies.
- Conduct thorough test analysis and verify requirements.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans.
- Understand and apply the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) principles.
Collaboration and Expertise:
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in QA and testing.
- Advocate to uphold the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
Project Management:
- Meet project deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Utilize project management skills to coordinate testing activities.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6-9 years of experience in software development and QA.
- Proven experience with large, complex systems and service-oriented architecture.
- Experience in API testing.
- Experience running automated tests through CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to identify user and partner interactions with the system.
- Experience implementing software metrics and analytical techniques.
- Development experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Java and Python.
- Experience with databases like SQL Server, Postgres, and Oracle.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
