Job Description:

ConnectShip, Inc., a UPS subsidiary, builds multi-carrier transportation and logistics software solutions. Our products include on-site and cloud-based transportation APIs as well as shipping and visibility solutions. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to work for an industry leader. About this role:

• Working knowledge of the design, implementation, management, and execution of test scripting, test automation, and test processing for software quality assurance
• Collaborates with the team to plan, coordinate, schedule, and manage QA resources
• Applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical skills, principles, practices, and procedures for API oriented testing methodologies and a working knowledge in planning, designing, and conducting QA reviews
• Execute regression testing to ensure that new code changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
• Perform manual testing as needed, including exploratory testing, to uncover defects and ensure software quality.
• Interacts with other functions and departments (requirements, software engineering, deployment, build team, support and integration, etc.) throughout the software development life cycle
• Assists development team in root cause defect analyses
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives by providing feedback and proposing improvements to testing processes and methodologies.
• Working knowledge of shipping industry and/or carrier business rules preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience in software quality assurance, testing, problem solving, technical and analytical skills
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Docker) and experience configuring and managing virtual machines for testing purposes.
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Proficient use of software testing concepts and software problem reporting
• Understanding of the full software development life cycle
• Good interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Working knowledge of software design and coding and other related technologies (C#, .NET, scripting, XML)
• Experience testing APIs using test automation tools
• Database experience (SQL Server and Oracle preferred)
• Knowledge of shipping industry and/or carrier business rules preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, or 3-5 years of Experience.
