Essential Job Duties
- Working with our business teams, act as technical expert representing LKQ IT to assess requests for system implementations, enhancements, and infrastructure to determine high-level goals, objectives, and requirements.
- Perform technical planning, produce solution architecture documentation, and modify specifications to support solution development to ensure business analysts, infrastructure and development teams have sufficient information to begin planning and design.
- Support project management by ensuring sufficient solution architecture documentation and compliance with process, security, and technology standards.
- Assess compatibility and integration of products/services proposed to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
- Prepare flow charts, models, and procedures and conduct feasibility studies to design possible solutions.
- Define high-level requirements, goals, and risks to ensure solutions meet company needs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and privacy laws as well as compliance with LKQ security processes and standards.
- Work with other IT team members to evaluate potential solutions including leading design discussions and researching potential solutions.
- Ensure projects and enhancements are meeting the business objectives and commitments by shepherding enhancements and consulting on projects.
- Provide meaningful updates and descriptions on projects/enhancements to leadership and internal customers ensuring issues are resolved, priorities are correct, and value is understood.
- Support delivery teams by providing guidance and resolving issues related to their enhancements.
- Assume other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 3+ years of related experience required; Still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills; Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 8+ years of related experience with application support, development support, senior business systems analysis, quality engineering, infrastructure engineering, software engineering, and/or technical leadership, including direct involvement in technology relationship management with lower-level business stakeholders.
Preferred Requirements
- No Preferred Education Required.
- Experience with data exchange standards and third-party vendor integrations.
- Automotive parts and services knowledge.
- Experience working with Agile at scale model or Disciplined Agile Delivery model within a large organization with shared services.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
- Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
