Sourcing Manager

About the Role:
This person will be responsible for developing and leading global category strategies and understanding the business/company requirements to improve value and partner with business team members. This also includes implementing the end-to-end Sourcing process of crafting and leading category strategies, spend and market analysis, running RFx's, negotiating contracts and pricing, and supplier management. This person should have deep sourcing and vendor management experience within the IT space, operate at ALL levels of the organization and move seamlessly from strategic to tactical. Additionally, this person must have a keen eye for detail, provide insights based on market conditions and trends, investigate innovative methods optimize value from goods and service providers, improve the decision-making process, and increase the flow of information.

Responsibilities:

• Appraise and improve sourcing activities by analyzing spend, supply, partnerships, and new possibilities.
• Assess current and future market trends and prepare price forecasts for the business.
• Manage the supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
• Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships.
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Design negotiation strategies and secure profitable deals.
• Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation techniques and strategies.

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 5+ years of experience in IT Sourcing and Procurement
• Strong understanding of category management strategies
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Experience supporting IT Sourcing, technology categories and technology services
• Familiarity with standard procurement concepts, practices, and procedures
• Leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Possess a positive demeanor, excellent communication and analytical skills
• Demonstration of critical thinking, ability to question the output of a financial model and consider options for improvement
