The Leidos Space Exploration and Mission Operations division has an opening for a Space Operations Software Architect to support Leidos ground operations systems for space based research and exploration missions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Clearance are required.
Preferred Qualifications
Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00

The Leidos Space Exploration and Mission Operations division has an opening for a Space Operations Software Architect to support Leidos ground operations systems for space based research and exploration missions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with team members across the SEMO Division to develop capture requirements, develop solutions, and evaluate technologies for the division IT infrastructure.
- Guide the development of the division IT infrastructure.
- Understand division opportunities and develop technical solutions.
- Lead and/or participate in internal research and development projects.
- Work closely with other architects, engineers, and product managers to gather requirements, define software specifications, and implement solutions.
- Facilitate or participate in the collection and assessment of technology research, that includes current proven solutions and emerging concepts, to address capability gaps in the SEMO Architecture and offerings.
- Support technical and solution development efforts across the division, programs, projects, and opportunities.
- Develop new software capabilities for the division, programs, projects, or opportunities.
- Develop plans and approaches to ensure the division software/IT architecture is able to meet customer and internal capability requirements.
- Ensure the architectural solution meets government performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- Utilize matrix resources to execute projects.
- Develop use cases for existing and new technologies/capabilities.
- Work to influence division/program/project/team leads regarding solution design, process, and/or approaches.
- Support key division deliverables.
- Support technology identification, development, assessment, and infusion efforts.
- Develop and implement migration and upgrade plans for legacy platforms and applications.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and platforms for solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Support division technical and proposal teams.
- Identify and assess candidate external technologies.
- Develop internal innovation and upgrade proposals.
- Support Leidos technical and top-level strategy development
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience supporting NASA missions.
- Experience supporting ISS cargo and science operations.
- Experience with the Leidos IT Infrastructure.
- Experience with the Leidos Solution Development process.
- Excellent organization and time management skill
- IBM Maximo.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency and the ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Clearance are required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting NASA missions.
- Experience supporting ISS cargo and science operations.
- Experience with the Leidos IT Infrastructure.
- Experience with the Leidos Solution Development process.
