Job Summary
Loudoun County's Department of Transportation and Capital Infrastructure is currently seeking a full-time Space Planning Manager to be part of the Space Planning, Design, Policy and Renovation division.
This position will be an integral part of the team, managing the development of space planning strategies and the master planning for all of the County department office space and facility needs.
The essential job functions of the Space Planning Manager include but are not limited to:
Develops space planning solutions for County facilities.
Conduct on-site observations.
Meet with customers to develop a program of needs.
Create drawings and test fits for various scenarios.
Provide recommendations for relocations, expansions, and furniture layouts.
Conduct programming meetings with end users and gather data.
Present plans and final space planning solutions.
Oversee the space planning process.
Manages space planning task order contractors; manages and maintains space planning databases and tools; manages and maintains accurate space inventory and floor plans.
Develop reports on space utilization, occupancy and cost efficiencies,
leverages data analytics to forecast space requirements and trends
Assists in relocation and reconfiguration projects, ensuring smooth transitions.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to implement changes.
This position is eligible for partial telework in accordance with County and Department Policies.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Building Design, Space Planning, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field; three (3) years of related work experience in space planning; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Valid driver's license and good driving record are required. Subject to work, as needed, beyond the scheduled workday and subject to recall.
Successful candidate will undergo pre-employment criminal and DMV background checks, to include criminal justice information system (CJIS) fingerprinting.
