Space Systems Test Engineer

Qualis Corporation is looking for a skilled Space Systems Test Engineer to join our team in supporting Department of Defense (DoD) operations. This role involves developing and executing test strategies for space-based systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and specifications. As a Space Systems Test Engineer, you will analyze and validate performance, control quality, and ensure mission capability through comprehensive testing. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to identify risks, streamline testing processes, and implement solutions for complex systems within the space domain. The position is located at Buckley Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop test plans, procedures, and scenarios for comprehensive system testing.
• Conduct evaluations and simulations to assess system performance under various conditions.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and make recommendations for system improvements.
• Collaborate with software and hardware teams to ensure seamless integration of components.
• Coordinate test activities with stakeholders and facilitate technical discussions.
• Prepare and present technical documentation and briefings to internal and external audiences.
• Utilize data analysis tools to compile and interpret testing data to support decisions.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in test engineering or related roles with a focus on space systems.
• Proven experience designing, executing, and analyzing systems or operational testing.
• Strong understanding of space systems and their operational environments.
• Familiarity with DoD testing standards and procedures is a plus.
• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW, or equivalent).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and interact with diverse technical teams.

Security Clearance: Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for test events and collaboration with other teams.
