Position Description: Special Process Engineer - PPAP is responsible for determining methodology and designs for EDM and welding processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control.
Analyze production and NPI processes to ensure ISO & AS9100 compliance.
Provide support during NADCAP and internal quality audits.
Interpret customer blueprints and specifications to design conforming processes.
Oversee new part weld and EDM qualifications including micro exams and opsheet creation.
Ability to serve as the Aerospace PPAP Site lead and provide all related departments with technical guidance, training and assistance
Must be able to multi task and arrange work priorities to meet production schedules.

Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in manufacturing/machining or quality environment
- Knowledge of welding and EDM processes
- Knowledge of NDT methods is beneficial
- Knowledge of Quantifiable Cleanliness Testing and Chemical Processing standards
- Knowledge of PPAP, UPPAP and NetInspect
- Knowledge of different metal types - Aluminum, Stainless, Titanium, High Nickel Alloys, etc.
- Experience with CAD/CAM such as KeyCreator, NX & CGTech Vericut required
- Experience with Epicor ERP System is a Plus
- General computer experience
- Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
- Windows 10 experience
- Ability to navigate an understand file structure and naming convention in Windows Explorer environment
- Able to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels of the organization
- Able to collaborate fluently in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
