What you'll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Identify quality-related big data use cases with high potential impact in terms of customer satisfaction and warranty payments. Define the data configuration needed to implement these uses cases
  • Conceptualize possible Machine Learning models in collaboration with Scout R&D, to develop later on data-driven solutions to solve business problems
  • Define requirements and develop in collaboration with Scout IT the necessary IT architecture, data warehouses and data lakes, ensuring the accessibility, consistency and quality of the data to be stored
  • Support, in collaboration with Scout IT, the definition of the Data Governance model, taking into consideration customer-oriented uses cases

Location & Travel Expectations:
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, Michigan.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering/ production/ organizational development and/or quality management of which 3 years of QMS (Quality Management Systems)-related responsibilities; OEM experience preferred
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, java, SQL, C++, ...) and knowledge of databases and cloud-based data storage systems
  • Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Proven experience in the design, definition or deployment of Machine Learning models, including actionable insights as a result of them
  • Strong problem solving skills and capability to work in multidisciplinary environments
  • Experience in Big Data and Machine Learning projects in industrial environments; automotive experience preferred
  • Excellent project management skill
  • Communication skills - interpersonal, presentation and writing - across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e. Director and Vice President Level)
  • Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans; execute with minimal supervision and own assignments to ensure the project success
  • Proven ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $120,000.00
