- REQUIREMENTS
The Architect must have experience working on end to end design, UI/UX, and the dependencies and impacts to downstream systems.- The work is of high visibility and importance and there will be a lot of hot intake items and critical turnaround times.
- You will be working with both onshore and offshore teams.
- You will be working with dataflow diagrams, coordinating all the dependencies, using a tool such as Chalk.
- Efficiency and agility are vital for this role, as well, MUST have superb documentation skills.
- Must be well versed in end to end design, including the dependencies and impacts to downstream systems, thus requiring a sizable amount of ability to work with varying team members and teams.
- Must be able to create clear design documentation and have the ability to summarize the intent of design from a business point of view.
- Must know how to build out API's, understanding the structure of an API and the different data elements.
- Knowledge and/or experience in Postman, SQL, JIRA, data mapping, JSON queries, Splunk, and the ability to assist with digging into issues and troubleshooting with the development team.
- Must be very comfortable engaging with the team, asking questions, not waiting to be called upon or asked for things - in other words, PROACTIVELY approaching designing solutions.
- Determining which products are impacted by the new requests and features.
- Creating Just Barely Good Enough design for handoff to responsible teams (including technical design document for anything that hits multiple teams).
- Handoff/discussing and socializing the design with the responsible teams.
- Providing reasonable confidence that downstream capabilities exist and will support the design (technical and UX).
- or call outs for those that do not and reasonable confidence that they "could" be built.
- Proposing design (technical and UX) which can be built in a supportable, maintainable, scalable manner.
- Researching current downstream capabilities, making suggestions/offering alternatives that meet the spirit of the "requirements" (the problem statement) that align to downstream capabilities.
- Engaging in the design process, offering potential solutions/influencing the UX design in order to assure supportable/maintainable/scalable software.
- Minimizing unicorn solutions, encouraging re-use, requiring justification for inventing new patterns, strategies, and duplicating functionality and/or concepts/patterns.
- Considering the problem presented and collaborating to propose the best solution balancing technical soundness and usability.
