Job Description
Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Job Specialty: Speech Therapy
Job Duration: 12 Months
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Experience: Preferred two years of clinical experience with adults, pediatrics, or developmentally disabled
License: Eligible for Wisconsin licensure; must obtain licensure within six months of hire
Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or equivalent required; CPR certification; valid driver's license
Must-Have: Master's degree in Communication Disorders
Job Description:
- Consistently perform initial patient evaluations, including administering appropriate tests and measures, identifying impairments and functional limitations, and establishing an initial treatment plan in conjunction with the patient/caregiver.
- Select and administer treatment strategies based on current physician orders and an established treatment plan.
- Proactively identify functional improvement and goal attainment, supported by documented subjective and objective changes.
- Update treatment plans and goals as per department standards.
- Complete documentation following department standards and timeframes, ensuring it reflects skilled intervention and supports therapeutic intervention as necessary.
- Achieve productivity in line with department standards, completing job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize non-productive time to benefit the department.
- Comply with applicable rules and regulations, demonstrate accuracy with OASIS, adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, demonstrate responsible resource utilization for each patient, and participate in department PI activities.
- Evaluate and treat all referred speech/language pathology patients according to physician's orders.
