Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dedicated team at North Elementary School. The SLP will provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders to students in grades pre-K through 4. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with elementary-aged children and a commitment to fostering their communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with identified speech or language disorders.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' communication needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular meetings and professional development activities.
  • Advocate for the communication needs of students and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Minnesota state license in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children with a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Experience with assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred).
