SPX Floor Trader Trainee

What you'll do:

As Floor Trader Trainee, your key responsibilities include:

• Communicating real-time trade information from CBOE's SPX pit to Optiver's in-house trading floor in Amsterdam
• Reporting on Optiver Floor Trader's decisions and execution
• Analysing and assign importance to floor information queue to enhance Optiver's trading decisions
• Acting as facilitator and intermediary between in-house Trading team and exchange-based Floor Traders
• Coordinating information flow amongst Optiver's Floor Traders
• Maintaining and update S&P Trading team's visualization and graphics enhancements
• Building skills and trading acumen as a Floor Trader trainee
• Tracking trading strategies and report on profit and loss (PnL) results

Who you are:

• Hold a bachelor's degree (required)
• Possess a high aptitude with mathematics
• Have a working knowledge of financial instruments, trading exchanges and markets
• Excellent communicator and team player
• Able to make lightning-quick decisions
• Programming experience in Python or VBA is preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment authorization for this job opening

Below is the expected base salary for this position. This is a good-faith estimate of the base pay scale for this position and offers will ultimately be determined based on experience, education, skill set, and performance in the interview process. This position will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus (if determined by Optiver) and Optiver's benefits package with the benefits listed above.

$135,000-$135,000 USD
