Purpose of Position
The Senior Accountant and Financial Analyst works closely with all levels within the Finance Department assisting with the month end close process as needed.. This position assists in the preparation and review of month end revenue calculations for HB and PB. This position assists the Reimbursement Manager and the Executive Director of Reimbursement with all aspects of financial reporting as needed.

Assists in preparing the monthly revenue models for HB and PB.
Prepare monthly analysis in evaluating accuracy of NPSR calculations
Assist in preparation of Finance and Revenue budgets as needed
Assist in long-term modeling used by Senior executives
Assist in preparing schedules for Governmental reporting in areas of cost reporting and year end audits.
Utilizes decision support, patient accounting, physician database and other systems to produce meaningful reports to aid decision-making
Perform ad hoc analysis of issues to support management inquiries, and other projects and reports as requested.
Identifies opportunities for change and improvement, recommends and implements accordingly.
Participates and performs other Reimbursement department work related duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field is required. Masters or CPA a plus
Minimum of four to five years of previous accounting experience is required. Physician practice financial accounting or healthcare experience a plus
Knowledge of preparation of financial statements and journal entries.
Knowledge of accounting systems and budget systems
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to research issues and process complex transactions and procedures.
Experience in translating and communicating key analyses and assumptions to senior management for decision-making.
Excellent oral & written communications skills
Strong PC spreadsheet (Excel) capabilities as well as familiarity with accounting systems
