***Direct Hire/Temp to Hire** Accounting Supervisor
Temp to hire preferred - Hybrid Position - 2 days remote, 3 days in office
Salary Range - ***K - ***K DOE
The Accounting Supervisor coordinates and prepares monthly financial statement package and general ledger accounting for Independent Physician Management physician practices. Supervises accountants, overseeing their financial close process including the reconciliation and analysis of all balance sheet, and income statement accounts within assigned time frames. Routinely meets with direct reports to review their individual results and identifies opportunities to improve performance. The Accounting Supervisor identifies training needs, coaches, and counsels staff members in an effort to develop staff improve teamwork, morale and overall team performance/results.
Education:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline required
CPA and health care experience preferred.
Work experience:
Three years minimum experience in general corporate accounting in a major accounting function such as General Ledger, Budget, Financial Reporting, AP, etc. Healthcare preferred.
One to three years of experience in a leadership role.
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of general accounting concepts, practices, standards, principles, and activities related to one or more corporate accounting functions such as General Ledger, Budgeting, Financial Reporting, AP, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and other applications such as Hyperion Enterprise, McKesson General Ledger, Pillar, and Crystal reporting.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
