Position Summary:
The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The Sr.Accountant will have contact with various departments and levels of management within the business unit, division headquarters and corporate office which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):
Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Maintain local NetSuite general ledger and upload data in Crane Co financial consolidation system, HFM.
Responsible for Cycle Count tracking and reporting. Ensure compliance with Cycle Count requirements to maintain Physical Inventory exemption.
Work with the Controller to ensure timely audits and compliance.
Assist with Business Process procedures & risk assessments (Sarbanes-Oxley 404).
Ensure financial systems & procedures are in place to provide adequate internal controls.
Prepare monthly financial statements.
Perform Financial Analysis and Reconciliation of all accounts in the Balance Sheet
Prepare Monthly reports including Cash Flow, Inventory Turns, Capital Spending, Order Backlog, Product Line, Headcount, and other statistical data.
Maintain Fixed Asset records, Capital Expenditure Requests and Audits.
Assist in development of Budgets and Forecasts.
Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
Maintain Travel Card and P-Card program.
Prepare Sales & Property Tax reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CMA or CPA a plus.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in Accounting within a manufacturing environment
Big 4 Audit Experience is a Plus
Ability to work on high-pace Public Company environment
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent Excel, Microsoft Office, HFM and Netsuite knowledge, preferred.
Pay Range: 85k - 103K
