Position Overview

Under limited supervision, execute the administration process to load client data, run data quality rules, and reconcile the settlement/accounting summaries to ensure that GFS Asset Intensive, US Longevity and US PRT business is administered appropriately and accurately in line with treaty specification. Provides key administration support, for GFS reinsurance and direct transactions to RGA corporate Finance, ceding companies.

This role is open to remote candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Review original ceding company accounting settlements for highly sophisticated, individually tailored reinsurance agreements for compliance with treaty terms.
  • Ensure accurate and timely treaty reporting and settlement including all related agreements. Work with client to resolve differences.
  • Review client reporting and make recommendations for enhanced data reporting to support , calculation of seriatim benefits, administering settlements, and summarizing monthly transaction history for downstream stakeholders in Risk Management, Valuation, and Finance
  • Monitor cash settlement process including timeliness of receipt per treaty terms, tracking of data, and settlement processing
  • Maintain excellent on-going client relationships. Assist client with implementing and understanding treaty provisions as needed.
  • Support review and update to SOX process documents and provide audit support for SOX audits as needed
  • Work with RGA Finance and Valuation to resolve any general ledger P&L and balance sheet variances
  • Participate in special projects, committees as needed.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 5-8 years of insurance, accounting, risk management, or audit related experience
  • Basic Word, strong Excel, and basic SQL/Query skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication and organization skills
  • Must be flexible and adaptive to change
  • Takes initiative and is accountable
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deliverables.
  • Complex investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to share and impart knowledge
  • Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting/finance and general ledger applications
  • Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department projects.

Preferred:
  • Master's Degree
  • Progress towards FLMI
  • Insurance/Reinsurance financial reporting experience

Pay is based on a number of factors, including market, a candidate's skills, and experience commensurate with a role, etc. salary range: $74,150 - $105,295 + bonus
