MUOS Senior Software Tester

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

$72.45-$77.45/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Lead test planning, execution, and diagnostics for new systems and products, supporting the full engineering development lifecycle.
• Develop and implement test and diagnostic programs for software and hardware systems.
• Design test fixtures and equipment based on system requirements and performance specifications.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of test procedures and engineering standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test coverage, identify defects, and support corrective actions.
• Provide expert technical guidance and shape innovative approaches to test strategy and system evaluation.
• Support the planning of technical approaches, resource allocation, schedules, and necessary testing equipment.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field; or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a master's degree.
• Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level knowledge in object-oriented programming, scripting languages, and software/system processes.
  • Proficiency in developing test strategies, diagnostic tools, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience in contributing to the development of new methodologies and process optimizations.
• Additional Skills:
  • Proven ability to anticipate and shape future business and technology opportunities.
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams and engaging with external stakeholders, customers, and vendors.
  • Familiarity with complex software systems and end-to-end test integration efforts.
