Talascend is currently seeking a highly skilled Sr. Advanced Mechanical Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity in Torrance, CA. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and analysis of Environmental Control System (ECS) turbomachinery, heat exchangers, and electric traction drive motors.
Key Responsibilities:
? Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's/PhD preferred).
? Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in heat transfer analysis.
? Technical Skills: Proficiency in ANSYS FLUENT, Mechanical, FloEFD, or Star CCM+.
? Preferred Experience: Prior experience with turbomachinery design and analysis is highly desirable.
? Citizenship Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen to meet project security requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform heat transfer analysis for ECS turbomachinery and heat exchangers.
- Provide technical expertise across multiple projects and programs.
- Ensure compliance with customer and program requirements using expert knowledge of engineering standards, processes, and tools.
- Collaborate with Project Engineering teams, participate in design reviews, and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support department process improvement initiatives to enhance overall efficiency.
