About The Role: Responsible for developing algorithmic solutions to support development of analytical software applications to help people with diabetes (PWDs) and their health care providers to better manage their diabetic conditions and progression.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years in product development.
- Experience with algorithm product development, from data analysis and visualization, proof of concept to design, implementation, and verification.
- Experience in NLP, including but not limited to text classification, stemming, lemmatization, and natural language understanding.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: signal processing and time series analysis, machine learning, physiology modelling and simulation.
- Experience with Python, R, MATLAB, or similar programming language.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly

Responsibilities:
- Perform hypothesis-driven analysis of PWD user data from various sources (glucose monitors, connected medication delivery devices, patient entered data).
- Lead R&D initiatives to process human written data, utilizing NLP and large language model (LLM) systems.
- Participate in R&D initiatives to utilize time series data sets from multiple medical devices in the development of decision support algorithms for people with diabetes.
- Lead the development of algorithm modules and collaborate with cross-functional teams including but not limited to system engineers, software development engineers and test engineers.
- Support product definition: understand the product vision and help define the problems that need to be solved to realize this vision.
- Support design control process for medical devices: requirement analysis, risk analysis, design documentation, and system/software verification and validation.
- Responsible for utilizing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality management system.
