Job Description:

Job Summary: The Sr Automation Systems Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of automated solutions to improve efficiency and productivity in a large office environment. This role involves creating and managing internally supportive websites and applications using SharePoint Online and the Microsoft Power Platform. The engineer will play a crucial part in designing and executing automation projects, managing forms and tools, and adapting to tight project deadlines.
Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Serves as primary contact for executive leadership to provide advice, direction and guidance on broadly defined automation support matters.
  • Develops and maintains websites and applications using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform to enhance business operations.
  • Designs and implements automation tools and forms tailored to support an office environment of approximately 8000 users.
  • Contributes to large-scale project development, ensuring adherence to tight deadlines and quality standards.
  • Utilizes IT Service Management tools effectively, with a preference for candidates experienced in Ivanti.
  • Collaborates with various teams across the organization to gather requirements and develop solutions for automating business processes.
  • Optimizes existing systems and processes through continuous improvement initiatives and cutting-edge automation technologies.
  • Analyzes and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain optimal performance of automation tools and applications.
  • Documents technical processes, configurations, and guidelines to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Trains and mentors junior team members or colleagues in best practices for office automation and application development.
  • Guides and coaches' team on automation responsibilities. Serves as point of escalation for complex automation issues.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in office automation and related technologies.

  • Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:
    • One of the following qualification groupings is required for this position as indicated below:
      • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college or university.
      • 5 plus years of experience in website and application development.
      • 3 plus years of using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform.

      • OR

      • Associate's degree in information technology or related field from an accredited college or university.
      • 7 plus years of experience in website and application development using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform.
      • 3 plus years of using SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Advanced certifications in SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, or related fields.
    • Experience in leading projects or teams in an office automation context.
