Sr. Backend Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Backend Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems using Python.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support various applications and services.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement security and data protection measures in backend systems.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to our tech stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Python.
• Experience with Django and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as JavaScript and CSS is a plus.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud.
• Background in machine learning and AI is a nice to have.
• Proficient in working with databases, including PostgreSQL.
• Experience in the SaaS and fintech sectors is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
