How You'll Perform the Role
- Provide strategic guidance for U.S. benefit plans and programs, including plan choices, design and pricing, with an eye toward year-over-year plan improvements and cost containment
- Partner with vendors to provide tactical support for plan administration and operations to ensure timeliness and high quality of service to enrolled members
- Evaluate industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of our plans and programs; develop and present business proposals to plan sponsor
- Ensure execution excellence of our annual benefit enrollment events
- Partner with vendors and consultants to create a strategic communications plan and partner on deliverables to engage employees and drive the right behaviors to improve wellbeing
- Manage dependent verification process and activity in Benefitsolver
- Partner with Benefitsolver to design and keep current content in Benefitsolver
- Facilitate benefit and program processes with stakeholders (e.g., Payroll, HR Service Center, external vendors) and ensure systems are correctly configured
- Timely process invoices and plan funding
- Process qualified medical child support orders
- Manage the Service Award Program
- Keep up with regulatory requirements and implement changes to keep plans in compliance
- Conduct benefits training for HR partners to ensure they are adequately prepared to provide front line support to employees across our footprint, and deliver communications monthly to HR partners to keep them informed of benefits and programs
- Play an active role in onboarding newly acquired companies to ensure a seamless transition to Novolex plans and programs
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred) and 7+ years' experience managing the administration, operations and design of large, self-funded and fully-insured benefit plans and programs
- Experience in vendor management
- Experience managing large-scale projects
- Experience creating business cases and obtaining leader buy-in
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- HR systems experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM, CEBS, or Certified Benefit Professional) preferred
- Some travel required
