NFL Players, Inc., the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), is looking for an ambitious, innovative Senior Business Development Manager to join our team! The Senior Manager of Business Development and Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for identifying and creating new business opportunities across multiple categories for Players Inc. This position will also provide strategic planning support and relationship management of existing partners to ensure optimal performance against established metrics.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years' business development experience and preferably an MBA. This role requires a strong understanding of equity-based transactions, business operations, revenue generation strategies and financial performance drivers. Other required skills and experience include proficiency in financial modeling and delivering high-quality business presentations, effective negotiation with strong communication and presentation skills.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Identifies and negotiates new business opportunities (which include equity and investment-based partnerships) across a variety of new and existing licensing and business categories, including but not limited to, gaming, experiential/location-based events, international expansion, human performance, and emerging technologies.
  • Acts as primary point of contact for all new business inquiries across the NFLPA and NFLPI.
  • Conducts thorough due diligence of prospective new business deals, including market and company research, financial background, and industry analysis to properly evaluate business opportunities and equity-based partnerships.
  • Develops and implements comprehensive financial models to evaluate business opportunities, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning across multiple deal types.
  • Supports VP and President on evaluating and managing new business and initiatives for key partnerships, including OneTeam Partners (OTP).
  • Provides ongoing account management and support for strategic investment partners, to include regular checkpoints, facilitation of assets, and integration with NFLPA events and programs.
  • Supports the day-to-day oversight of the NFLPA strategic investment portfolio, working closely with the Business and Legal Affairs Department to develop, track, and evaluate growth and engagement opportunities for existing partners, manage partner relationships, and ensure partnership deliverables are fulfilled.
  • Supports new and prospective commercial partner integration across NFLPA-owned events and properties (e.g., Rookie Premiere, Pitch Day).
  • Develops targeted prospect lists for event hosting, on-site meetings, and other business generating touchpoints at NFLPA-owned and industry events.
  • Represents NFLPI by attending relevant conferences, trade shows and industry events to cultivate an active business prospect network and deal conversion pipeline opportunities.
