Business Intelligence (BI) Sr. Developer is responsible for providing the highest quality data and reporting solutions and support for all data and reporting solutions. The position is a part of the IT Data and Integrations team and reports to the Sr. Manager IT Data. The position is responsible for the architecture, design and development of data and reporting solutions for FleetPride. is considered a (TSME) Technical Subject Matter Expert for a variety of data and reporting solutions and responsible for developing technical designs and solutions for complex data problems

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, Develop and Support a variety of data solutions using Microsoft SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, ADF, Power Bl, etc.
- Establish and maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and IT standards.
- Establish BI development standards for Data Integrations & Reporting, in accordance with FleetPride SDLC principles for software development.
- Maintain support documentation with all the technical details and proper visual diagrams (Flowcharts, Diagram and layouts) for ease of understanding.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders to ensure the Business Intelligence deliverables are aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with business partners, customers and third-party development vendors.
- Self-train and self-educate to better support the technology FLEETPRIDE uses to support operations locally and at the branches.
- Monitor trends in technology, research, validate, and make pragmatic recommendations on systems and process enhancements to implement new technologies, frameworks, or methodologies.
- Train and assist users with the BI systems and features.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for BI developers.
- Ensure that projects deliver functionality, enhance the overall BI platform, and adhere to the company's methodology and technical strategy.
- Optimize and fine tune BI platform using best practices to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with business partners and project teams to understand requirements and business needs.
- Analyze user requirements, and design BI solutions envisioning system features and functionality, in accordance with the established BI development standards.
- Create and manage the User Stories in Azure DevOps with estimates and delivery schedule.
- Prioritize and lead BI solution development to deliver business needs as per the established design.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to established BI development standards and the deliverables meet the acceptance criteria.
- Review Unit test plans and results.
- Ensure developers maintain the version control for all code as per the FleetPride guidelines.
- Deploy code to production environment.
- Ensure developers create and update system documents for configurations, and system features.
- Support and maintain solutions within the production environment, including working with end users and others within IT to resolve issues.
- Ensure developers respond to and complete Help Desk Tickets in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze production issues to determine root causes and recommend long-term solutions to prevent them in future.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 9 years in designing, developing and supporting Data and reporting solutions
- 5 years of experience in implementing data warehouse and reporting solutions with Microsoft solution stack.
- Experience with RDBMS, Data warehousing concepts and data modeling concepts.
- SQL language proficiency with at least one of the common database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, and/or DB2 database management systems.
- Experience using relational databases, writing complex queries in ANSI- SQL based products such as T-SQL and PL/SQL utilizing a firm understanding of the underlying data.
- Experience with building data pipelines, near real-time integration patterns and technologies.
- Experience with cloud based BI technologies such as Power BI, ADF, Azure SQL and MS Fabric.
- Experience writing unit test procedures and documenting test results
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Demonstrated experience writing unit test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
- Adapt to new tools and technologies
- Passionate to understand complex data sets and help the team to build insights that drives business decisions
- Proficient in using Agile methodologies with a strong mindset to break-down complex requirements into milestones, features and user stories
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Be able to work with non-technical audience to collect and define requirements
- Strong skills with data and reporting platforms such as SQL Data warehousing, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI etc
