Description:

Responsible for originating and servicing business loans (conventional, SBA, Construction and C&I). Develops new business and expands existing relationships for loans up to $5 million. Maintains knowledge of commercial loan products and services, as well as knowledge of the industries or market areas served. Calls on potential customers, identifies banking needs, secures financial data for analysis, and makes proposals for new business. Gathers credit application information concerning business needs, desires, abilities, and earnings to determine loan needs. Provides portfolio maintenance and loan administration in accordance with SSFCU, Federal, State and NCUA policies within loan portfolio. Possesses knowledge of business products and services. Makes preliminary credit decisions to recommend for approval or declination of loans within credit limits by performing basic credit analysis on the loan proposal. Communicates and negotiates credit terms and repayment schedules within established guidelines. Interviews applicants interested in obtaining business loans. Responsible for identification and evaluation of deteriorating loan situations in order to recognize charge-off loans early and manage credit to minimize losses. Work with Portfolio Manager to follow-up, collections, or delinquent and problem loans as requested. Cross-sells other applicable SSFCU related products and services associated with the loan. Possesses expert knowledge of all products and services offered by SSFCU specifically Business related. Proactively identifies cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and educates members on self-service options to expand member relationships. Completes any other job-related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization's Values.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent education and/or experience. Five years in commercial lending (real estate, construction, C&I and SBA) and managing a commercial loan portfolio and Two years of credit analysis/underwriting experience or equivalent commercial lending experience. Proven track record in sales ability/aptitude and business development. The ability to take initiative and make independent decisions in the best interest of the Credit Union and Member.
