Description:

We have a 12 month contract with opportunity for extension or conversion, for a Sr Change, Release and Deployment Analyst. Must have 5-7 years of experience in ITSM, ITIL Change Management, ITIL-based support, ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and understanding of SDLC. 100% Remote.
Must Haves:
  • Experience with and knowledge of IT Service Management and/or project management , ITIL change management, release management IT security, patching, compliance and best practices
  • Experience with an ITIL-based support environment and with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems such as ServiceNow
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Understanding of SDLC and release management core principles
  • Attention to detail, solid documentation
  • ServiceNow experience, able to flow through modules
  • Data review and ability to understand what the data is telling us
Nice to haves:
  • Large enterprise change experience, Healthcare or Service industry experience
Disqualifiers:
  • Outside of US, not having change background/experience, no experience in ServiceNow
Performance indicators:
  • How well he or she performs change audits to include accuracy, speed, and volume.
  • How well they review operational change checklist, interaction with the product change managers
Responsibilities:
  • Leads projects from end-to-end
  • Aids with the coordination, planning, scheduling, control, and implementation of change and/or releases from initiation through delivery and support
  • Reviews submitted change requests for compliance, accuracy, and completeness
  • Provides communication and information, including relevant release reports and documentation as required
  • Ensure compliance by validating the appropriate checkpoints are met; coordinate release sign off between the various stage gates in the release cycle
  • Oversee regular reviews of the change and release management processes with the IT change and release manager; regularly identify and recommend service improvements
  • Monitors efficiency and effectiveness by providing management information on releases to senior management as required
  • Analyzes incident logs caused by releases to identify occasions where the process has not been followed; highlight any repeated non-compliance and ensure timely resolution/escalation
Interaction with team:
  • Assists the IT change and release manager in completing regular audits of the change and release management process
  • Collaborates with the IT risk register (working closely with the information security team) to identify and manage operational risks and work to eliminate areas of vulnerability
  • Collaborate with the IT change and release manager with the setup of change management in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool and adoption of improved process

  • We are in a complete remake of our Change and Release environment to include a new risk assessment tool for change, the implementation of an operational checklist and Change Audit team.

Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.

Technical Skills:
One or more of the following skills are desired.

Knowledge of Other: ITIL change management, service management and/or project management, IT security, patching, compliance, and best practices
Experience with IT Service Management; Microsoft Office
Experience with Other: an ITIL-based support environment and with IT Service Management (ITSM) systems such as ServiceNow
Knowledge of Other: release management
Experience with one or more of the following Other: ITIL Foundation or ITIL certificate in release, control and validation
