Senior Project Manager - Urban Development

About the Role:
Our Denver, Colorado Office is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects in land development and public works. The ideal candidate is a Registered Professional Engineer in Colorado with at least 15 years of experience in residential and commercial site design, drainage, roadway, water, and sewer engineering, as well as construction document preparation and post-design services. This role involves mentoring engineers, overseeing projects, and engaging with clients while contributing to business development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead feasibility studies, planning assessments, and cost evaluations.
  • Oversee daily coordination of urban development projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
  • Review and refine shop drawings, field observations, and construction administration.
  • Develop project proposals, scopes, budgets, and track execution.
  • Ensure project completion aligns with client specifications, budget, and timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of feasibility studies, implementation plans, and engineering reports.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings and documentation.
  • Conduct quality reviews of engineering plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Engage in business development, identifying new opportunities and leading proposal efforts.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado.
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience in urban development.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interact with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with project management tools such as OneNote.

Compensation:
$173,000 - $202,000+ Annually (based on experience and qualifications). Compensation includes base salary and eligibility for a discretionary annual performance bonus.
