Sr. Construction Manager

Seeking a full-time Senior Construction Manager to oversee and manage complex construction projects for state, municipal, local, and private entities, as well as government service contracting projects from inception to completion. This role demands extensive experience in managing various types of construction projects including residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure developments. Must have a deep understanding of engineering and construction principles, the ability to lead and coordinate multiple teams and contractors. The ideal candidate will be a professional engineer (PE) and have a proven track record of experience with road, water, bridge, railroad, and delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate and supervise the work of construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements and expectations are met.
• Understanding and experience with different delivery methods (Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, Construction Manager At-Risk, etc.) with an understanding of the benefits of each method.
• Knowledgeable in construction risk management specifically with 3rd-Party Construction Management
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process promptly and effectively.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the construction teams.
• Mentor and develop junior construction staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and career growth.

Education Requirements and Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering other engineering discipline. A master's plus.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a senior engineer with construction experience and a proven track record of successfully managing diverse construction projects for state, municipal, local, private entities, and government service contracts.
• Experience in road, water, bridge, railroad, and other infrastructure projects.
• Experience using construction document control software, specifically ProCore for managing construction projects.
• Knowledge of other products other than these two may be acceptable.
• Good written/verbal skills.
• A certified professional engineer is a required.
