This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week(10-12 days a month ) at the following office location: St. Petersburg, FL.

Job Summary

As part of the IT Enterprise Data Privacy & Protection team, this Senior Data Engineer has primary responsibility to engineer solutions for critical data protection and obfuscation activities. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for
Building Data discovery, analysis, protection and operationalization solutions, which are flexible, performant, and scalable.
Handling complex initiatives involving data discovery, analysis, cataloging, protection and inventory of on-prem and cloud data platforms and data assets
Is able to make judgements and recommendations based on the analysis and interpretation of data discovery findings.

The core team is based out of our headquarters in St. Petersburg, FL, however we are open to our Southfield, MI site. The work style will be Hybrid.

Responsibilities:
  • Discover the Sensitive/NPI/PII across all the databases and other formats leveraging Informatica DPM (Data Privacy Management) and OneTrust tools.
  • Schedule Database scan jobs in DPM and OneTrust to discover the Sensitive/NPI/PII.
  • Review In-scope Sensitive/NPI/PII attributes and create the metadata & data rules using the regular expressions.
  • Perform manual analysis to curate the scan results for accuracy.
  • Support ongoing data protection activities leveraging Informatica TDM (Test Data Management) tool.
  • Create the TDM packages for the target sources to mask the PII.
  • Create & update the masking rules in TDM based on the requirements.
  • Automate the masking jobs using approved enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Hands on development experience involving Oracle & SQL database On-Prem and Cloud environments.
  • Provides on-call support of data masking batch processes on a rotating basis and other on-call as required.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Education/Previous Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and five (5) to ten(10) years of relevant development or engineering experience or combination of education, training and experience. Required:
  • Informatica Data Privacy Management tool expertise
  • Informatica Test Data Management tool expertise
  • Informatica Power Center tool; expertise
  • OneTrust AI & Data Discovery and Governance tool expertise
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and experience to guide and mentor junior team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including stakeholder management
  • Hands-on experience implementing OneTrust AI & Data Discovery and Governance.
  • Hands Oracle database engineering skills with exposure to automation.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality, and compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • In-depth understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy laws.
  • Experience working with privacy risk assessment tools and compliance frameworks.
  • Python programming experience including using machine learning libraries to automate data discovery would be a significant advantage
  • BMC/Control-M tool experience

Preferred:
  • Proven experience in OneTrust Privacy Automation implementation and integration to Informatica DPM/TDM tools.
  • Scripting experience: Python and R
  • Automated deployment experience
  • Hands on experience in ServiceNow, Collaboration tools including automation and integration Licenses/Certifications:
  • IAPP certified CIPP / CIPP would be a significant advantage.
