Join a rapidly growing Fintech company as a Sr. Data Engineer! You'll be crucial in migrating dbt models from Redshift/Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg), ensuring performance and compatibility. Requires strong SQL skills, dbt experience, and knowledge of BI tools like Tableau.
Responsibilities:
- Migrate dbt models from Redshift/Snowflake to Trino (Iceberg).
- Fix SQL syntax and version control dbt models via Git.
- Refactor and optimize data models for Iceberg.
- Work with Tableau assets and validate migration impact.
- Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams.
- Participate in daily standups.
Requirements (Must Have):
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field.
- 3+ years in data engineering, BI, or analytics.
- 2+ years in financial services or SaaS.
- Experience with dbt and modern data modeling.
- Strong SQL proficiency (Redshift, Snowflake, Trino).
- dbt experience (models, macros, Jinja).
- Tableau experience and data source knowledge.
- Experience refactoring SQL/dbt for migrations.
Preferred:
- Startup environment experience.
