Description:
We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems. Overall, you will strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals.
This role will report directly to ADC's Chief Data Scientist & CTO.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Develop, construct, test & maintain architectures
Align architectures with business requirements
Data acquisition
Use programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, SQL, etc.) & in-house tools to support projects
Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency & quality
Data cleaning, anomaly detection & prep
Build reliable data flows from structured & unstructured data
Work with Data Science & ENG to develop API's & build data flows for both internal & external data
Work with Product & ENG teams to unify & analyze IoT data, including sensor data, in Azure datastores
Build & streamline fetch, transform & load logic
Support automation initiatives
Be willing to continually increase Azure competencies & continually pursue formal Azure certifications
Research & help the organization understand how to leverage the latest Azure features
Candidate Profile:
Necessary Qualifications:
4-8 years of experience in similar role
Strong analytical skills & experience working in a fast-paced environment; a true self-starter
You should be able to:
Quickly analyze raw data in at least SQL
Develop & maintain datasets & data analysis pipelines
Construct datasets that are easy to analyze & support company requirements
Interpret trends & patterns
Conduct complex data analyses & report on results
Prepare data for prescriptive & predictive modeling
Build algorithms & prototypes in partnership with rest of Data Science & AI team
Collaborate with data scientists, architects, cloud engineers & implementation specialists on several projects at the same time
Create automation for data sanity & validation tests to improve data quality
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering or Management Information Systems
Networking certifications/understanding including CCNA, CCDP &/or CCNP, etc.
Experience with Azure Cloud, Python & C# as well as commensurate certifications
