The Sr. Director, Engineering will be a transformational member of UKG Product & Technology group reporting to the Vice President, Engineering. UKG is looking to hire an experienced technologist who possess a unique balance of technical depth, strategic thinking, creative skills, and product development experience. This person will help launch market leading solutions across the Time & Labor value chain. This person will also be responsible for injecting innovation into the UKG products by both new value creation and enabling exponential growth of existing products.

They will demonstrate the ability to think strategically and lead with a relentless focus on solving business problems together with the product management team. Background knowledge in SaaS and Cloud deployments are highly valued. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and reinforce company values and culture in day-to-day behaviors, management style, and expectations of employees. This individual will be looked upon to inspire confidence and add additional leadership strength to the broader management team.
Build strong cross-functional partnerships at multiple levels within the company, including with engineering, product management, and services.
Lead cross-functional, cross-geography teams to deliver product extensions to market.
Provide innovative solutions leveraging AI to modernize the customer experience and support exponential growth
Influence and support the product direction and roadmap for Time & Labor capabilities.
Demonstrable experience delivering customer sensing SaaS software to drive the Customer Experience cycle from early feedback to adoption to full GA.
Work closely with our Support Data and Partners to address product serviceability and experience gaps.
Research and listen to customers and stakeholders and leverage findings in the form of robust architectural designs; Participate in the entire lifecycle of the product, working closely with development teams from product initiation to delivery.
Work with product management to come up with innovating product extensions
Drive program execution of the software from product definition through successful release and sustaining
Deep Understanding and success leveraging Observability within the SaaS ecosystem to deliver a superior customer experience.

Qualifications:
Candidate must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, including proven presentation skills.
Candidate must possess excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and programming skills in technically complex environments and architectures.
15 years of overall enterprise-level software development with 10 or more years of experience in managing high-energy software development teams.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3 or more years of experience at the Director level.
Demonstrate high intellect, high integrity, positive energy, and the ability to energize others.
Extensive software engineering development and design experience with complex and highly scalable products using multiple technologies, platforms and languages.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies, values and practices.
Experience in product integrations and API technology is desired.
Ability to attract top talent and plan for succession; demonstrated success in motivating and cultivating high performing teams and instituting change where needed.
Decisive and effective at issue tracking and resolution.

The pay range for this position is $202,300 to $290,800, however, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term incentive and a long-term incentive as part of total compensation.
