What you'll be doing
The Corporate Account Director will be responsible for leading the field operations for Nuvation's targeted Corporate Accounts inclusive of assigned Non/Academic IDNs and hospital GPOs in the East, Central, and Western areas of the US. This includes managing Medically Integrating Dispensing, formulary, pathway and other access issues. The individual will report to the Executive Director of National Corporate Accounts and will be responsible for developing and executing the account strategy for targeted Corporate Accounts and hospital GPOs. The Corporate Account Director will lead the overall Nuvation strategy with critical vertically integrated accounts (i.e. Kaiser, UPMC, MSK) across Nuvation, assuming accountability for overall Nuvation performance. In addition, this position will provide critical competitive intelligence within the market access marketplace to the ED of National Corporate Accounts. The Corporate Account Director will also be responsible for identifying and assisting with KOL development with targeted accounts. This person will assist in the development of the overall market access strategic plan for Nuvation. The selected candidate will work cross-functionally with in-office and field-based teams in Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Legal, Medical Affairs, and Data & Analytics to drive the success of our launch including providing expertise and valuable input in developing the overall strategy and successful execution of key initiatives and tactics. This role will lead and coordinate efforts to establish effective business partnerships with targeted Corporate Accounts and hospital GPOs. It will be imperative for this role to ensure effective communication and collaboration between Nuvation's functions/departments including, but not limited to, Distribution, Trade, Payer & Value Strategy, Pricing, Legal, Patient Services, Field Sales, Medical Affairs, and Marketing. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of the oncology market dynamics including key customers and accounts with an underlying passion and focus on delivering impactful therapies and transforming the lives of patients. This role reports to the ED of National Corporate Accounts and will be based remote in the U.S., although may reasonably be required, as needed, to perform duties at Nuvation's corporate office.

Working Conditions:
The pay range for this position is $250,000 to $280,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.

You will be responsible for...
- Lead, develop and manage targeting IDN accounts and field sales to create favorable access
- Responsibility for access on formularies, pathways, or reimbursement issues at targeted institutions
- Demonstrate the ability to solve complex reimbursement situations and build strong customer relationships
- Ensure that each targeted account has a business development plan
- Efficiently manage resources and work with internal stakeholders to communicate and identify opportunities and challenges
- Strong focus at launch/new indications on Strategic Account education, distribution and contracting. Target specific accounts to minimize access barriers and to instill product awareness and education within the marketplace.
- Lead the Nuvation efforts for positioning on key pathways, i.e. ClinPath
- Accountable for the targeted account Nuvation commercialization with key vertically integrated systems, i.e. Kaiser across all Nuvation commercial
- Assist and identify IDN KOLs within targeted accounts
- Collaborates closely with the Medical, Sales and Market Access Strategy team to create innovative solutions, partnerships and programming in the hospital GPO and IDN channel
- Develop strategic and targeted contracting opportunities within the hospital GPO and IDN channel
- Drive formulary and pathway access within targeted accounts
- Drive programs and initiatives that result in increased product education and access to customers and patients
- Direct the development and execution of key customer engagement plans that is aligned with commercial launch strategies and tactics
- Work in cross-functional efforts with in-office Market Value & Access teams, Marketing, Data & Analytics, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and U.S. Sales to develop strategy and tactical plans as well as account pull-through plans building a strong and credible Nuvation presence in selected private and public-sector accounts
- Stays well-versed with expert knowledge and understanding of the Oncology ecosystem, Payers, reimbursement environment, and distribution to contribute to Nuvation strategy
- Effectively align strategic account field operations initiatives with Medical Affairs, HEOR, patient access services, and Field U.S. Sales
- Partner with the data and analytics team to maximize usage of data and reports that enable a higher level of customer / account service
- Evaluates accounts quarterly accounts against established objectives, performance results, and customer service issues;
- Provides market insights, trends, competitive activity and conditions of the reimbursement environment.
- Ensures customer expectations are exceeded; develops business plan that fits continually changing marketplace.
- Plans, forecasts, and oversees budgets, while actively monitoring expenses as part of overall P/L management
- Ensures all activities that are conducted will be executed with the highest degree of ethics, meeting all legal requirements and standards, starting always with a mindset of 'doing the right thing'. Works with legal, regulatory and senior leadership to address ambiguous situations, leading to decisions that balance innovation and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Biological Sciences, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10-15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical experience with demonstrated success in product launches).
- Minimum 5 years oncology experience, solid tumors and oral oncolytic preferred. Non-small cell lung cancer experience highly preferred
- Solid analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to interact and positively influence all levels of business across multiple departments
- Able to excel in a team environment and demonstrate empathy for others
- Demonstrated success working in a small to mid-size biotech company, reflecting an entrepreneurial culture and innovative mindset. Prior in-house and field management rotational experience in Marketing, Sales Operations, Training, and/or Field Sales preferred
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a high level of productivity, innovation, and priority-setting in order to deliver on organizational goals
- Proven ability to think strategically and work with a high level of integrity
- A highly effective collaborator who understands the importance of team collaboration with all company stakeholders
- Establish and maintain strong clinical acumen to facilitate rapport with industry experts, medical community, and effectively coach/mentor the field account team
- Ability to travel up to 50% domestic (Post-Covid requirement), with occasional travel to Nuvation's corporate office
- An essential requirement of the position is to meet credentialing requirements for access to academic institutions, medical facilities, and organizations that are in the assigned territory. These credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, and proof of immunization and/or vaccinations.
