Job Summary

The Sr. Director of Facilities is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management and operations for our 80+ healthcare clinics and corporate offices. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong experience working with a third-party management company, property management skills within a patient setting, and a strong understanding of maximizing operational efficiency and leasing agreements. The ideal candidate will ensure that our facilities are safe, run efficiently, and are conducive to delivering high-quality healthcare services while aligning with corporate objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee contract with third-party management company to ensure services are performed timely and within contracted terms
  • Provide oversight/direction working with vendors to manage open tickets and prioritize new projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third party management companies, monitor performance against agreed-upon KPIs, and implement strategies to optimize contract value throughout the lifecycle
  • Coordinate clinic closures, relocations and new clinics with third-party management company
  • Work collaboratively with Clinic and Operations teams on facility related initiatives
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for all aspects of facility operations, including maintenance, security, cleaning, and capital projects
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to health center facilities, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors, in coordination with the management company
  • Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational priorities
  • Prepare financial forecasts and variance analysis related to facilities operations
  • Review vendor estimates with third party management company to ensure alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and monitor contract performance
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of current and future space requirements to support the organization's strategic growth plans
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the facilities team


Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Manage a small team of associates


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on healthcare settings and corporate environments
  • Experience working with third party management company
  • Proven experience in property/facilities management, including lease negotiations and vendor management

Physical Requirements

This position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk, and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work flexible. Physical demands include the ability to lift to 50 lbs.
