Job Description
The Sandisk Corporate Real Estate & Workplace (CREW) team has a mission is to ensure all employees have a safe, healthy, and engaging work environment where they can collaborate to successfully bring our products to market. They enable the business goals and company culture through the delivery of workplace environments and services that foster teamwork, innovation, and productivity. Our team runs a worldwide portfolio of over 3.3 million square feet, 57 sites and 12,000 employees. In addition to ensuring the workspace and manufacturing facilities operate seamlessly, this group also provides employee and site services, such as cafeteria, transportation, security, and safety. The team is responsible for all construction and site improvement work to enable the business needs as well as align with the financial requirements.
The Global Head of Facilities will own and drive Sandisk's long-term global facilities management strategy, evolution, and innovation in support of the company's strategic objectives and plans. The individual will lead a team to pursue multifaceted improvements, both in service and spend improvement for operating expenses and capital expenditures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Facilities Operations and Management
- Manage the Sandisk Headquarters and the Global Sandisk portfolio including preventative and predictive maintenance and operation of technical building systems. These systems include elevators, HVAC equipment, electrical equipment and equipment supporting critical environments.
- Lead the planning, construction and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and buildings, with a key focus on the headquarter facility at Milpitas.
- Develop and maintain workspace (clean room, lab & offices) that builds a work environment enabling collaboration, innovation, productivity, and destination of choice.
- Ensure elevated level of service for transportation, cafeteria, coffee bars and other services.
- Build relationships and engage with Site Leaders, support cleanroom, lab, and offices space requirements.
- Lead all aspects of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion.
- Ensure all facilities meet established environmental and safety control requirements in partnership with the Global EHS and security team. Work with our safety and security team to insure a safe working environment for employees, customers, contractors, and visitors.
- Collaborate with the business continuity team on disaster preparedness policies and procedures.
- Manage the portfolio through both an insourced and outsourced team, with KPIs, space utilization rate and budget spend.
- Drive the transition to an outsourced provider where needed and manage the global governance process.
- Management of all corporate-level operational programs that support the office functions.
Space Planning and Projects
- Support any corporate construction projects and processes including new site and building/campus development. These could include construction of roads and civil infrastructure, tenant improvements and building modifications.
- Develop space roadmaps for cleanroom, lab, and offices to meet business needs. Direct experience building and maintaining clean rooms, and lab environments is preferred.
- Develop and manage budget/timeline for projects.
Real Estate Management
- Work closely with the Global Lead for Real Estate to support all activities related to any real estate site selection and due diligence process for property acquisitions and dispositions. Drive proactive planning and management of the Americas real estate portfolio and leases.
- Manage the site selection, negotiate, and execute lease agreements for the Americas portfolio. Build relationships with key landlords across the portfolio.
- Ability to provide real estate and facilities feasibility studies and analysis based on total cost of ownership, including ROI, NPV, Cash & P/L analysis for the Americas.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and make recommendations to senior management regarding real estate strategies and facility tactics, initiatives, programs, department goals, and objectives.
Vendor Management
Lead oversight of the performance of key country service providers, contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Partner with Indirect Procurement to select and manage vendors for construction and operations based on procurement guidelines and standards.
- Management of contracted outsourced service providers providing facilities maintenance and operational service support for the real estate portfolio.
Data Analytics
- Compile market data, forecast, budget, and other analysis to support real estate investment opportunities.
- Create and benchmark industrial peers' key operational and service levels KPIs.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 12 years of experience.
- 10 years of experience managing the facilities support and building operations in critical manufacturing environments. 5-7 years of experience of operating clean room/laboratory environments.
- Ability to develop and foster and grow positive relationships with in-house resources, business groups, stakeholders, operations personnel, and senior management.
- First-hand experience working with and directing various professionals, such as attorneys, architects, landlords, general contractors, sub-contractors, material suppliers, and operational service providers and consultants.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, develop, and justify proposed business cases for executive management review.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with Senior Stakeholders and Executives of the business groups and align with company's goals and objectives. Effective communication and presentation skills with senior leaders.
- Flexible attitude and able to work with ambiguous situations and a very dynamic work environment.
- Process-oriented and able to apply continuous quality improvement processes to all aspects of work.
- Energetic, good-humored, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to travel throughout the Globe, particularly within the Americas as needed.

- An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
