Position Summary
The Senior Director, Strategic Planning role reports to the Head of Business Growth, Innovation and Advocacy (BGIA) and demands a dynamic individual with management consulting experience who can provide strategic insights, project management expertise, and drive cross-functional collaboration. It requires a high degree of enterprise mindset, business acumen, quantitative aptitude, analytical rigor, people management skills, and end-to-end ownership of high-priority initiatives. In addition, this role serves as a trusted thought partner for the Heads of Global Development (GD) and BGIA and will serve as the decision support leader for the GD leadership team. The individual should be comfortable driving actions and participating in senior level discussions on behalf of these leaders, leveraging their delegated authority.

The anticipated base pay range for this position in the US is $193,000 to $387,000.
Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Head of GD and BGIA by generating and delivering rigorous quantitative and qualitative predictive insights to drive business strategy and decision-making.
- Analyze market intelligence and internal trends to advise the head of GD and BGIA and the respective Leadership Teams and to ensure GD remains competitive.
- Participate in or lead key meetings with internal and external stakeholders with or on behalf of the Head of BGIA, shaping program design and execution and ensuring that initiatives are executed to the highest standard.
- Proactively manage Head of GD and BGIA's commitments with other key advisors to ensure proper planning, and preparation for upcoming events and meetings, both internal and external
- Track progress against plans through leadership dialog, highlight risks and facilitate dialog to remediation strategies.
- Align and manage internal and external stakeholders across special projects ranging from cross-functional initiatives to executive-specific needs. Foster strong relationships with the Business Operations team to ensure alignment and focus on the right priorities.
- Produce materials for internal and external stakeholders and C-suite, including memos, presentations, and materials for Board of Director meetings.
- Provide internal project management support. Act as project leader to plan and execute the assigned projects.
- Proactively identify and seize opportunities to simplify business processes to ensure emphasis on the most value-added work.
Experience & Qualifications
- Education: BA/BSc or equivalent required; MBA or other Scientific Master's degree preferred.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience required. In-depth understanding of drug development in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred, but strategy development experience in other industries is useful.

- This role requires ~10% domestic and international travel as needed.
