What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Director will define and drive the Tech Infrastructure (TI) financial strategy to align investment with our strategic goals. The role will lead a team of professionals to prioritize and optimize TI operational spend, creating a culture of efficiency and cost optimization. Crucially the role is responsible for strengthening the alignment between TI investment/NIE and the recovery, so that costs (and levers) are clearly aligned and explainable to our customers.

What is the Opportunity?
Reporting to the Vice President, the Senior Director will define and drive the Tech Infrastructure (TI) financial strategy to align investment with our strategic goals. The role will lead a team of professionals to prioritize and optimize TI operational spend, creating a culture of efficiency and cost optimization. Crucially the role is responsible for strengthening the alignment between TI investment/NIE and the recovery, so that costs (and levers) are clearly aligned and explainable to our customers.
What will you do?
- Financial Controller Leadership on a Monumental Scale: Oversee and manage a $1.5 billion technology budget, setting a new standard for precision and impact in financial stewardship.
- Shape and lead a Centralized Team: Build and guide a cohesive team to support and collaborate with 3 SVPs and 4 VPs, fostering innovation and streamlined operations across the organization.
- Strategic Authority in Technology Finance: Drive the financial strategy for the Technology Infrastructure, influencing long-term decision-making and shaping the future direction of the organization's technological investments.
- Ensure on-going alignment between our TI strategy, emerging business requirements and our internal financial prioritization process.
- Create data that enables the executive team to make critical investment and cost optimizing decisions.
- Establish TI functional finance roadmap that assesses resources, costs and plan and aligns them with TI Strategic goals.
- Drive the development lifecycle of an effective, transparent recovery system (Apptio) that delivers exceptional customer service transparency continually advance and improve the platforms.
- Provide oversight to the end-to-end infrastructure recovery process, ensure the recovery system (Apptio) meets the needs of the evolving landscape, the associated processes meet the needs of Finance and our end consumers.
- Ensure the presence of comprehensive controls, governance, and alignment with Finance requirements.
- Create a fantastic collaborative team environment that engages customers with flair and creativity.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Ability to create financial strategy for complex large scale functions.
- 10+ years of direct experience leading highly complex and undefined programs, preferably in large, global financial institutions.
- Seasoned expertise in the accounting, financial, and operations of financial institutions.
- Proven ability to translate highly complex technical problems into clear, business language to drive shared understanding and issue resolution.
- Expert-level relationship-building skills, and the ability to work effectively across a wide range of levels.
- Proven track record in leadership and team development.
- Be creative. Have strong communication, collaboration, and diplomacy skills, able to build strong relationships in challenging environment.
- Prior experience with regulatory-focused projects/initiatives.
- Flexible and able to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Works well independently and in a collaborative team setting but does not hesitate to challenge the status quo. Decisive and focused-understands what needs to be done and moves quickly to that end.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to IFRS.
- Ability to use financial reporting systems.
- Understanding of regulatory reporting regimes.
