Job Description:
This position contributes to the Company's success through leading the professional development and continuous learning for its Sales and Corporate teams. The incumbent is responsible for the Company's employee development needs, as well as facilitating the Company's training programs.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications and Skills
BS, with a focus in life sciences, business, organizational development, marketing. MBA, a plus.
Certification in Talent Development (CPTD), a plus.
Willingness to travel to visit field account management and transplant centers.
At least 6 years' relevant pharmaceutical industry experience in designing and implementing learning solutions including classroom, online/on demand, social, and experiential learning for technical, product, and soft skills development, measurement, and reporting.
Strong background in Learning Management Systems and curriculum design.
In-depth knowledge of, or training, in adult education techniques, with expertise in conducting virtual training sessions.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, with superior facilitation/presentation skills.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Strong computer skills, with literacy in new media, and experience integrating information and data from several applications. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and any presentation tools.
Travel Requirements: Approximately 25% (national)

Job Description:
This position contributes to the Company's success through leading the professional development and continuous learning for its Sales and Corporate teams. The incumbent is responsible for the Company's employee development needs, as well as facilitating the Company's training programs.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Leads all Sales team training, including initial sales training for new hires, as well as ongoing development of the Sales teams; creates agenda, builds tactics, organizes speakers, and handles logistics for program design and delivery.
- Manages Regional Trainers and assists with alignments with corporate initiatives through coaching and active participation with content utilization.
- Develops and updates programs and training materials for the Sales teams based on current market conditions and new product initiatives. Develops and manages curriculum to address any identified training gaps/needs within the Sales teams.
- Provides evaluations and post-training recommendations to Regional Sales Directors to ensure new hire strengths/development areas are identified and addressed.
- Measures sales performance post training and identifies where best practices are leading to positive results.
- Provides training on disease states, clinical (product) knowledge, managed markets/market access and selling skills. Builds the following:
- Sales skills platform that becomes universal in the sales force and trains to this through new hiring process, intermediate training, and reinforced coaching.
- Account management training program for large account/hospital selling.
- Initial sales training curriculum and an intermediate sales training curriculum.
- Market access/managed markets training program.
- Oversees and directs the process for all communications with the Sales teams ensuring clarity consistency, and adherence to compliance standards. Leverages diverse delivery methods to include eLearning, virtual classroom, best practice videos, newsletters, etc., to provide and promote ongoing learning and development.
- Serves as the Sales Training Lead for all Company National Sales Meetings, POAs, Regional Meetings, Managed Markets and Market Access Meetings.
- Partners with the Senior Leadership to coordinate support of employees seeking career opportunities within the Company and those who are not meeting performance expectations.
- Establishes a leadership development that includes career competency assessments, leadership and competency training, and career readiness assessments to prepare employees in their career development. Prepares new and emerging managers to become team leaders and people managers by facilitating workshops on Situational Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Communication and Interpersonal skills, employee engagement, and building highly effective teams.
- Implement a coaching culture to improve coaching relationships between managers and their reports.
- Ensures that all training programs are consistent with, and in support of the Company's legal, regulatory, corporate policies, HR policies, and compliance guidelines.
- Collaborates with the Company's Operations and Quality teams to develop, deliver, and evaluate effectiveness of site training for compliance-related topics such as Quality systems, annual GxP training, training policies, and procedures, audits, and inspections.
- Provides feedback and recommendations related to the site training matrix ensuring adequacy and completeness.
- Stays abreast of trends and tools in employee training, learning, and development through participation in professional industry associations, and actively working on own continuous learning plan.
- Stays abreast of the landscape and therapeutic focus by visiting customers on occasion and observing account mangers on the job.
- Spends time in field with account managers and regional directors to learn about trends and opportunities with the disease state, drug, and business landscape.
- Identifies advanced selling skills courses, negotiations courses and account management courses and continually monitors opportunities for innovations for employee skill advancement.
- Supports any non-sales Company Learning and Development training projects on an as-needed basis.
- Cross functionally aligns with Medical, Marketing, Managed Markets, and Market Access for content with all mentioned programs.
