Responsibilities

The Senior Distribution Manager will oversee logistics operations, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, material distribution, and warehousing. They will lead initiatives that integrate logistics, order management, and technology to ensure seamless interaction between order management platforms, fulfillment systems, and transportation systems. The role involves close collaboration with IT and operations teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize new technologies for improved operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to improve distribution center performance.
  • Lead, manage, and execute hands on distribution/logistic operations.
  • Implement automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Utilize technology (VLM, ASRS, Honeywell) to optimize storage and retrieval processes.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, purchasing and scheduling to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Design storage layout and ensure efficient space utilization and speed retrieval in warehouse.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers, and transport companies to minimize costs while maximizing efficiency.

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.
    • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Business preferred.
    • 10 years of experience leading distribution and logistics operations for a global company.
    • 3 years of warehouse automation and optimization experience.
    • Experience with new warehouse design, layout, and construction. Preferably with automated material/warehousing storage, movement, picking/packing, and shipment.
    • Strong experience with Excel, PowerBI, and other data analytic tools.
    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (D365) Finance and Operations preferred.
